Fipsi Seilern
Fipsi Seilern studied at Charles H. Cecil Studio in Florence where she was taught to draw and paint in a traditional Renaissance manner.
'Having studied at Charles Cecil, I paint portraits in the naturalistic style using the technique known as 'sightsize' (painting to scale and stepping back throughout, in order to create a distance from which to see the "big shape"). I am fascinated by the contrast between Naturalism and Conceptualism and am currently working on a project designed to integrate the two, based on the subject in question. I also enjoy landscaping and I hope to create a body of work based on the streets of London.'
