London's hottest young music events company 'THE COMMITTEE' and 2R ART have teamed up with MF Global Securities, Jack Daniels, Asahi, and Red Bull to celebrate the life and work of internationally acclaimed Rock Photographer JOE BANGAY with an unprecedented evening of music, fashion and art.
ROCK RENAISSANCE begins with a reception in honour of the famous photographer Joe Bangay, whose work includes shots of Freddie Mercury, Robert Plant, Ronnie Wood, Annie Lennox, Bob Geldof and Jools Holland- to name but a few.
A special celebrity guest (hint: one of the names above) will introduce the evening raising a toast to Joe Bangay's extraordinary achievement to Rock and Roll over the last 40 odd years.
In an effort to introduce a new generation to BANGAY's legendary photographs THE COMMITTEE have brought together LIVE acoustic performances from some of the hottest young rock n rollers of the moment.Luke and Hugh of THE KOOKS headline the show, preceded by performances by THE NEON EMPIRE, THE MYSTERY JETS and ZEYA PHILLIPS- (sponsored by thegadgethelpline.com).
Later on in the night, JADE JAGGER and DAN WILLIAMS of the JEZEBEL SOUND SYSTEM jump on the decks and will keep the rock n roll crowd dancing till late.
Expect an incredibly select crowd of the who's who of the music, fashion, media, and art worlds to be in attendance.
