An exhibition featuring Romania's leading Artists
2R Art is pleased to present a selection of over 20 of Romania’s finest artists. Since visiting Romania in October 2008 and viewing the studios of some of the country’s leading artists, 2R Art have spent a number of months liaising with these artists and selecting a variety of works to showcase the variety and depth of skill that they have to offer.
Many of the artists featured are Professors of Art in Romania’s top universities and have published books and articles. Their work is featured in museums and private collections from countries around the world, including Austria, Brazil, France, Germany, Holland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Poland, Spain, Sweden, UK and USA, to name but a few.
Between them these artists have been awarded numerous awards such as Mircea Roman’s ‘Great Prize’ at the Sculpture Triennale in Osaka, Japan and Mariana Gordan winning the Clement Atlee Portrait Prize. Furthermore, many have been involved in high profile public commissions in Romania and throughout the rest of the world.
