2R Art present the second instalment of ‘Canvas Underground’, a night of street art and music at Concrete.
Featuring specially designed wall murals and canvases by Daniel Lumbini, Finalfrontier, 55TAIS and Dave King.
We are lucky enough to have ‘Swing-Hop’ legends The Correspondents headline the night. MC Mr Bruce and DJ/Producer Mr Chuckles collaborate to make Hip Hop for the 1930s, Big Band music for the 00s. Splicing swing samples with squelchy synths over dusty drum loops they’ve depicted a modern day journey into time of rogue’s, lust, affordable clowns and foot-tapping toe curling ‘get your brogues on’ dance floor swing beat. You might have seen them at Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, Bestival, Shambala Festival, Lovebox Weekender or The Big Chill Festival and they are sure to be a big feature on this year’s festival circuit. Further live music comes from the rapidly rising 2000FASTWOMEN plus special guests.
DJ James Hoste will be on the decks fusing his eclectic mix of Indie, House, Electro & Dubstep until the early hours.
Furthermore, Daniel Lumbini will be giving away 2 FREE original canvas works designed specially for this show. In order to be in with a chance of getting your hands on these all you need to do is come and enjoy the event!!
Doors open at 7pm until 2am. Entry is £6 on the guestlist or £8 on the door.
